Student commits suicide in Haveri

HAVERI: A student, residing at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyala at Maharajpet village in Hanagal taluk, committed suicide by hanging himself to a fan in the hostel room. The diseased is identified as Sunil Parameshappa Baligar (14), a IX Std student from Hallur village in Hirekerur taluk.

School principal G Valiyamma's refusal to send him with his siblings is said to have prompted him to take the extreme step. Sunil wanted to enjoy the 20-day Dasara vacation at his home town. When his brother and sister came to pick him up, the principal insisted that only parents can do so.

When his siblings returned to send their parents, Sunil went to his room and committed suicide. He was upset at being alone when all his classmates had gone to their villages for enjoying the vacation, sources said.

Hanagal police have registered a case. Four months ago, a student had committed suicide on the school premises.

 

JNV School entrance test deferred

JNV School entrance test deferred: Last date for sending applications for the entrance of class VI of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) at Kothipura, near here, has been extended to October 30 that was earlier September 30, school principal Anoopa Thakur said here yesterday. Anoopa said students of class V from a recognised school of the district could appear in the test. She said the entrance forms would be available free of cost at the DC Office and at the school as well. The test would be conducted on February 6, 2011.

नवोदय विद्यालय समित के कमिश्नर  मनोज सिंह के मुताबिक यह एक ऑनलाइन लीर्निंग प्रोग्राम है .जो की बच्चो के क्रिटिकल थिंकिंग ,ओम्मुनिकतिओन स्किल और तेच्निकल स्किल बढ़ने के लिए तैयार किया गया है .इश से बच्चे और शिक्षक दोनों ही ऑनलाइन प्रोजेक्ट्स कर सकते है .इश प्रोजेक्ट के अंतर्गत २४०शिक्षकओ  को प्रशिक्षित किया जायेगा .ताकि नवोदय के स्टुडेंट भी २१ सधी में हो रहे बदलावों के बारे में सही ढंग से जन सके और साथ ही दुनिया में हो रहे बदलावों को आपनी जिन्दगी की सिखा जैसे उपयोग कर सके

Navodaya Vidyalaya schoolchildren invited to visit Parliament

Kalpetta,28th sept:  Eight students of the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya at Lakkidi have got an invitation from the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs to visit Parliament House and the Rashtrapati Bhavan. “We have got the invitation as a part of attending a function that would be held in Parliament on October 20 to receive the trophy and certificates for the meritorious performance of our children in the 13th National Youth Parliament competition held at the school on 16 June,” C.V. Santhi, Principal of the school said. The students – Alisha Grace Mathew, Indulakshmi,Suryagayathri, Sruthi C, Archana, Jisna George, C.S. Anandu and Basil Shaji – had bagged the first position in the regional Youth Parliament competition (Hyderabad region) and stood second position in the national level competition. The team was trained by TCM Suresh and S. Swathi, the Social Science teachers of the school, she added. The competition was organised by the by the Union Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

this is a matter of proud and honour that we are from jnv .where we had learnt how to behave and how to live but this is not the main concern .the main concern is to make other jnvian aware of the out side world so that they can get the power to live with respect
so i am requesting you all that come forward to help the jnvian who are running scare for help and not seeing a way for their problem .
